• Aims:
• To develop candidates awareness of the actions that can be taken to assist with road traffic collisions
• To help candidates be more aware of the general rules that affect them in day-to-day driving
• Objectives
• Discuss appropriate actions at the scene of a road traffic accident
• Identify the risks that may be found at the scene of a road traffic accident
• Describe other issues to be aware of and actions to take
• Decide how best to deal with different types of casualties at the scene of a road traffic accident
• Improve PCV and LGV drivers’ knowledge and skills while using the road network
• Enhance road safety on all types of road
• Improve driving standards in both the road haulage and passenger transport industries
• Identify the professionalism and skills required of PCV and LGV drivers
