Mental Health Awareness / Tachographs

Module Aim

Candidates will be aware of their duties and responsibilities with regard to digital tachographs.

To train candidates to be more mental health aware within the context of their individual work places. Increase knowledge about common mental health conditions that arise in the workplace

Objectives

• Discuss driver responsibility regarding the importance and correct use of both analogue and digital tachographs
• Understand the laws surrounding tachograph use
• Discuss UTC, BST
• Engage in group discussion relating to the improper use of tachographs
• Complete manual entry exercise
• Recognise that mental illness is as real as any physical illness
• Discuss the stigma and prejudice surrounding mental health

• Discuss the use of language associated with mental health issues

• Discuss different methods to get help for mental health problems

• Outline the common causes of poor mental health

• Discuss depression

• Discuss anxiety

• Identify aspects of bullying in the workplace

• Discuss bullying

This course will give you 7 hours of the 35 hours periodic training you require as a professional HGV / PCV driver.
