7 Hour Module Outline
Aim:
Enhance driver’s professionalism regarding everyday encounters while carrying out their daily duties.
To enable candidates to appreciate and reduce the risks associated with their relevant working environments.
Objectives:
Discuss company image and the role drivers have in enhancing it.
Recognise the correlation between food and mood.
Appreciate the consequences attached to anger, fatigue and risk taking.
Consider the importance of customer care.
Understand and explain the consequences of distracted driving.
Outline the issues regarding driver performance.
Discuss Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and ‘Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992’.
Define and identify a Hazard
Define Risk
Discuss the ‘Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002’.
Recognise Harmful Substance COSHH Signs
Discuss Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013
Identify the risks associated with working on vehicles
Carry out an on-site risk assessment
Demonstrate the Banksman signals
Practical elements include:
Complete a risk assessment, use banksman signals
